MEET JOEY DONATELLI: designer, illustrator, cartoon character.

Joey (they/them) is a Baltimore-based freelance graphic designer and digital illustrator who graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with their BFA in Graphic Design in May 2019. Joey has extensive experience in both packaging design and social media content development as well as 2D/3D illustration and short-form animation. In addition to developing their own t-shirt line in collaboration with Hot Topic in October 2019, they have worked with a variety of high-profile clients including Trixie Cosmetics and Loverboy Tea and was featured as Planet Fitness’ 2023 Pride Capsule artist. Majorly influenced by their Y2K childhood interests, Joey’s portfolio celebrates the power of queer femininity with a tongue-in-cheek irreverence.

In addition to their design work, Joey is also a content creator, primarily making videos about their passion of toys and plans to eventually create their own line of fashion dolls.
